DJ Mark Battle was born Mark Adams in the busy streets of Brooklyn, NY. His early attraction to the sounds of the 70′s & 80′s was intensified each time he passed Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park to hear the local DJ’s spinning. After a long summer working hard to purchase his first professional DJ set, this naturally skilled music enthusiast became an accomplished 'turntabilist' performing in hot New York City nightclubs by the age of 16. For 10 consecutive years, DJ Mark Battle continued to perfect his craft and became one of the most sought after DJ’s in one of the largest and busiest cities in the world. In 1994, DJ Mark Battle expanded his artistry to Atlanta and quickly created a buzz as one of Atlanta’s hottest DJ’s promoting the still famed “Tri-State Party” with Wax Factor Entertainment. Together, they electrified clubs and parties all over the city with their unique and upbeat style that cleverly combined an eclectic catalog that went from Hip Hop, all the way to Jazz with a splash of Reggae and Pop.
